Tax Refund! Cha-ching!

For those still waiting on their Adoption Tax Credit from the 2010 Tax Year...there is hope!

We just got ours today!  Hallelujah!

After filing our taxes in February and getting a portion (non-adoption related) of our tax refund back in March, we've been in a back-and-forth with Uncle Sam, waiting for them to pay us the remaining $13K due to us.  The most recent contact we've had from the IRS was in early June when we got yet another (4 copies of the same) notice indicating we were still "under review".

Thanks to GIMH for posting this link back in April, we've been stalking following the discussion there ever since watching as some families continued to wait for their refund and some were flat out denied and/or penalized.  We didn't know what to think, but we remained hopeful and have been adding this intention to our nightly prayers as the money is being earmarked for some very important expenses.

Thanks be to God that on this Solemnity of John the Baptist, the refund has arrived.  I'm praying that every family that is still waiting for this significant refund receives what is rightly theirs very soon.

Congratulations! That's great news. Ok, that makes me VERY nervous that you saw some being denied. We can't file ours until next year since our adoption took 16 months to complete (C will practically be three by the time we could even hope to get a refund), and we are already trying to prepare ourselves to be denied.

So glad! When I read these, it makes me appreciate all the more the blessing of getting ours without going to review. We literally would have had some serious problems had we not gotten ours when we did. THANK GOD!! HE takes care of us!
